Developmental Assessments
Current research demonstrates that early intervention for neurodevelopmental differences is critical in impacting a child's long-term success. Dr. da Silva provides assessments for children starting at age 2. Early assessments will examine your child’s social, emotional, and communication development. This evaluation process will provide families with information regarding their child’s development and detail recommendations for early intervention and education. At the completion of the assessment process, the family will be provided with a comprehensive written report.
Comprehensive Assessments
As the field of psychology grows, so does our understanding of the brain. We are finding that individuals, especially children, can benefit greatly from comprehensive assessments. These assessments allow us to fully examine an individual’s neurological strengths and weaknesses in addition to providing significant feedback for interventions and support. These evaluations provide individuals, families, schools, and supports with a comprehensive overview of the cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and executive functioning profiles. This information can help in diagnosis and provide information for appropriate treatment and intervention.
College Accommodation Assessments
As students enter college, they may discover that without the previous supports of home and high school that they are struggling with keeping up with work, taking tests, understanding the material, and maintaining their grades. In addition, students with a previous history of a disability may find that their university’s disability office requires an updated adult assessment in order to receive accommodations. Accommodations assessments provide students and their school with the necessary documentation to receive specialized services and accommodations.
