Dr. da Silva is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in assessments and intervention for individuals impacted by neurodevelopmental differences (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, learning challenges, cognitive difficulties, executive functioning deficits, anxiety disorders, and traumatic brain injuries) across the lifespan. Dr. da Silva earned her Bachelors degree in Art Therapy and Psychology from Emmanuel College, Boston in 2002. In 2004, she relocated to Seattle, WA to pursue and complete a Masters in Art Therapy and Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. After receiving her Masters in 2007, Dr. da Silva stayed at Antioch University to obtain her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. During her doctoral training, she completed concentrations in Forensic Psychology and Child and Family Treatment and Assessment.
Dr. da Silva's practical training and work has included community mental health, forensic evaluations, neurodevelopmental assessments, interventions, and treatment. She completed both her pre and post doctoral training at the University of Washington CARE Clinic, under the direct supervision of Dr. Julie Osterling. While at the University of Washington CARE Clinic, she received specialized training in assessment and intervention of individuals across the lifespan with neurodevelopmental differences. Dr. da Silva's theoretical approach to therapy incorporates aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior and insight therapy, psychoeducation, and family systems theories.
